Position Overview

A federal human capital program is building a position classification team and needs senior classifiers. This is a fully remote role, open to candidates anywhere in the United States.

You would own complex classification work across a headquarters level organization and serve as the technical authority other specialists come to.

Responsibilities

• Classify positions across a broad range of occupational series and grade levels
• Apply OPM classification standards and defend the determinations
• Write evaluation statements that stand up to review
• Lead desk audits and position management reviews
• Conduct organizational assessments and advise on structure
• Serve as a technical resource to junior classifiers and to managers

Qualifications

• 8 or more years of federal position classification experience
• Deep hands on application of OPM classification standards
• Position description writing and signed evaluation statements
• Desk audits and organizational assessments
• FLSA determinations
• Must hold a public trust or be able to obtain one

Degree requirements are flexible. Depth of classification experience matters more than the credential.

This position is fully remote. Candidates may be located anywhere in the United States.
